Our Story

We recommend flying into TPA, which is the most convenient option for our wedding weekend. It’s approximately 15 minutes from Le Méridien Tampa, making it an easy trip to the hotel by rideshare or taxi.

Tampa International Airport

We have reserved a room block at Le Méridien Tampa. The block is available from November 12–16, 2026 to allow for flexible travel plans, but guests are welcome to book only the nights they need—you do not have to stay for the full date range. Please book your stay by September 14, 2026 to guarantee a room in our block. Use the group code AWGAWGF or mention the Avila Wedding while booking to receive our reduced rate. The daily destination fee will be waived upon check-in. If you experience issues with the rate discount, or if the type of room needed is unavailable, please reach out to us. Valet parking is available for a fee.

We encourage looks that feel refined and intentional, with a nod to evening glamour. Rich tones, classic silhouettes, and elevated textures will fit beautifully within the atmosphere of the night. Floor-length gowns or elevated midi dresses are most appropriate, with tailored cocktail dresses also welcome if they feel formal and refined. Luxe fabrics like satin, silk, velvet, or chiffon work beautifully in an evening setting. Heels are encouraged, though elegant flats or sandals are absolutely acceptable if they complement a formal look. Chic clutches and accessories encouraged. Men: Tailored suits in classic or evening tones are encouraged. Ties are welcome, and fashionable alternatives can also work (bow ties, broaches, Saffiano leather bolo ties, etc.). Dress shoes such as loafers or a dressy boot are ideal. Feel free to add personality with thoughtful accessories. Most importantly, wear something you feel great in—we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Dress Code

A 2.5-mile pedestrian path along the waterfront. Perfect for a relaxing walk where visitors can stop for drinks or hop between waterfront spots in the evening.

Tampa Riverwalk at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park

A casual-chic food hall located at the north end of the riverwalk. We love grabbing a coffee here, or grabbing a cocktail at the rooftop bar. Adult beverages are allowed on the riverwalk :)
